PM Industrial specialists shared their experience at the N.N. Lisovsky Conference on Hard-to-Recover Reserves
On September 4-5, 2024, the Karpinsky Institute hosted Scientific and practical conference named after N.N. Lisovsky "Hard-to-recover reserves - present and future". The event, organized by the State Commission on Mineral Reserves, with the support of the Federal Agency for Subsoil Use (Rosnedra), brought together more than 200 leading scientists, experts and specialists in the oil and gas industry.
On the first day of the event, as part of the session “Improving the efficiency of developing deposits with traditional hydrocarbon reserves”, Dmitry Arabov, Head of Enhanced Oil Recovery Projects Development at PM Industrial, gave a presentation "Review of global trends and development prospects of physicochemical methods for enhancing oil recovery (polymer and surfactant-polymer flooding) in the domestic market"The report touched upon important aspects of maintaining oil production levels in the context of growing global demand for energy resources, and also highlighted the prospects for applying these methods in Russian realities.
On the second day of the conference, Deputy Director for Science Roman Byazrov gave a report on the implementation of polymer and surfactant-polymer flooding technologies in RussiaThe presentation covered the current state of application of these methods, key challenges of the industry and strategic prospects for their development.
