September 12, 2024 company specialists PM Industrial took part in a large-scale scientific and educational event – The first international geological festival "GEOFEST - 2024", which was organized by All-Russian Research Geological Institute named after A.P. Karpinsky.

The festival was held with the support of the Federal Agency for Subsoil Use — Rosnedra and the GRANIT GROUP holding.

Karpinsky Institute pays special attention to the issues of education in the field of geology both in Russia and in friendly countries, aiming to educate a new generation of geologists and continuously improve the skills of specialists in the geological industry, since our country's need for geological surveys and the discovery of new deposits is still relevant and difficult to overestimate. Active participants in the festival included representatives of Russian subsoil user companies, scientific communities of St. Petersburg and partner countries of the Karpinsky Research Institute, including the BRICS countries. A teleconference was held as part of the festival “Geology is the language of friendship!” with participants from Cuba, Ethiopia and Mozambique.

The festival was visited by more than 3000 people — schoolchildren, students, specialists in the geological field and residents of St. Petersburg interested in earth sciences took an active part in the cultural and educational event.
